We'll kick off 2023 with an exciting trip to Snowbird, Utah - a unique destination for the Dallas Ski Club because one of our early DSC Presidents and founding DSC member, Dick Bass, developed Snowbird and opened it in 1971.
Lodging:
We'll be staying at the Cliff Lodge & Spa, where we can ski at both Snowbird and Alta! We have 2 types of rooms - both include a 6-Day Snowbird lift ticket and a skier's Breakfast Buffet at SeventyOne on Sunday. However, if you're a non-skier or have the IKON, you will receive a $482 gift card to use at the resort for food & drinks, shopping, spa treatments or spa access fee, as well as for rides on a winter scenic tram. Please go to snowbird.com and any option listed on their site in dining or shop could be used with the gift card.
If you would like to enjoy the skier's Breakfast Buffet after Sunday, it's available for $30/day per person or $180 for the rest of the week (6 days). You can get as many days as you want.
Prices (includes a 6-day Snowbird Lift Ticket or a $482 gift card):
Regular Room with 2 Queen beds:
$2,350 - Full Trip, per person, double occupancy - includes a 6-Day Snowbird lift ticket, Sunday Breakfast, RT Air from Dallas, Shuttle from airport, Lodging & Parties!
$1,895 - Land Only Option, per person, double occupancy - includes everything, but no Air & no Shuttle.
$1,185 - Additional for Single Supplement
There are no Regular rooms with a King bed available.
Optional Cliff Spa-Access Room with King bed (includes daily Cliff Spa-access on a higher, Spa-level floor):
$2,900 - Full Trip, per person, double occupancy - includes a 6-Day Snowbird lift ticket, Sunday Breakfast, RT Air from Dallas, Shuttle from airport, Lodging & Parties!
$2,445 - Land Only Option, per person, double occupancy - includes everything, but no Air & noShuttle.
$1,670 Additional for Single Supplement
There are no Spa-Access Rooms with 2 Queens available.
For the Regular rooms with 2 Queen beds, Cliff Spa-Access is $35 daily or complimentary for the day when you book a service or treatment.
$35 Additional for Shuttle Only (need this only if you choose Land Only and want to ride with us from SLC airport - be there by 1:00 pm)
$180 Additional for Daily Skier's Breakfast Buffet (after Sunday's Breakfast, which is included) for the rest of the week, 6 days. Or $30 per day if you want just a day or two or five,
e.g., less than 6 days - let the Trip Leader know.
$65 Party Pac Only (This is already included in the Full Trip and Land Only)
$95 per person - Optional Dinner on Thursday, January 12th at 7 pm - at the Steak Pit,
which is conveniently located at the Snowbird Center, within walking distance from our Lodge.
Everything is included, except drinks - drinks are on you.
Included: Appetizers, Salad, Entree choice of Steak, Salmon, Chicken or Pot Stickers,
Dessert, Tax & Tip.
Alta Upgrade
$237 Alta Upgrade* rate for the week - add it to your trip.
Daily Alta Upgrade is $60+tax, but it will need to be added in Snowbird.
*The Alta Upgrade for the week pass can only be added to the Snowbird LT. The Upgrade is not a Lift Ticket - it's an Upgrade that can only be added to your Snowbird Lift Ticket.
Lift Tickets:
Snowbird - Lift Ticket for 5 days, with an extra day free, is included in the price of your trip - that's 6 days at Snowbird. If you want to ski Snowbird less than 5 days, the cost will be deducted from your $482 gift card.
If you want to ski:
1 day - your gift card balance will be $353
2 days - your gift card balance will be $225
3 days - your gift card balance will be $176
4 days - your gift card balance will be $75
We must turn in these lift ticket orders by Nov 15, 2022.
There is a free ski shuttle between Snowbird and Alta. You can also ski to Alta via Mineral Basin, a groomed blue level skiing both directions, but becomes black in poor weather (poor visibility). If you have an IKON pass and ski between the mountains, it will count as 2 days off your pass.
If you have the IKON Base Pass, which is good only at Snowbird - not Alta, you will not be able to add the Alta Upgrade - you will need to buy an Alta LT in Alta, but you won't be able to use the gift card - that's only good in Snowbird.
The full IKON Pass and IKON Base Plus Pass are good for up to 7 or 5 days 'shared' between Snowbird & Alta. 'Shared' means if you ski at both Snowbird and Alta on the same day, that will count as 2 days off your IKON pass.
You can ski at Snowbird 3 days and Alta 2 days or any combination of days that total 7 or 5 days. But if you ski at both resorts on the same day, that will count as 2 days off your pass. So, plan accordingly.
Your options depend on whether you:
1) have an IKON pass, you will get the gift card. You will not be able to add the Alta Upgrade because you won't have a Snowbird LT.
a) if you have the full IKON Pass, you'll have up to 7 days 'shared' between Snowbird & Alta.
b) if you have the IKON Base Plus Pass, you'll have up to 5 days 'shared' between Snowbird & Alta.
c) if you have the IKON Base Pass, you'll have up to 5 days at Snowbird only - not Alta. To ski at Alta, you will need to buy an Alta LT at the Alta window - not available in Snowbird.
2) are getting the included Snowbird Lift Ticket good for 6 days at Snowbird,
a) you can add the Alta Upgrade to your Snowbird LT for the week for $237 in advance w/ DSC; OR
b) you can add the Alta Upgrade to your Snowbird LT for a single day for $60 + tax - but you will need to do this at a Snowbird ticket window.
3) are going to ski fewer than 5 days and will get a gift card for the balance. You can get a Snowbird lift ticket for 4, 3, 2 or 1 day, with the balance on a gift card as explained above.
a) you can use the gift card (if you have enough $$ on it) to add the Alta daily upgrade to your Snowbird LT at a Snowbird ticket window.
4) are a non-skier, you will get the gift card.
We won't be selling the single day Alta Upgrade in advance - you will need to buy that in Snowbird at a ticket window.
The week pass for the Alta Upgrade for $237 must be purchased in advance on our DSC website - it will be added to your Snowbird Lift Ticket.
We will need your Lift Ticket order by November 15th - please contact Michael Hines with your order.
IKON info:
IKON Pass - has up to 7 days shared between Snowbird and Alta.
IKON Base PLUS Pass - has up to 5 days shared between Snowbird and Alta.
IKON Base Pass - has up to 5 days at Snowbird only - NOT Alta.

Rentals:
There is an on-site ski rental and repair shop in the Cliff Lodge. Discount information for online reservations will be provided to us a month before our trip.

If you get it right after you book your trip, you may be able to 'cancel for any reason'. Don't delay if you want that option.
